OUT OF AFRICA THEME WEDDING

OUT OF AFRICA THEME WEDDING

Ninirichi Stylings with partnership with Tickled Pink Weddings and Events and As Sweets as Images Photography produced this beautiful African Colonial bush lodge wedding styled shoot concept. It was wonderful to style a wedding inspired by our homeland – the history, the people, the textures, the colours, the wildlife, the plants and flowers, the light, the fire, the scent of the air… “Why is it you can never hope to describe the emotion Africa creates? You are lifted. Out of whatever pit, unbound from whatever tie, released from whatever fear. You are lifted and you see it all from above.” ~ Francesca Marciano, “Rules of the Wild”.   Charlotte from Ninirichi Style Studio created this gorgeous invitation. Embossed leather-look envelope folder housing layered information cards. A intricate damask lace-like pattern was designed to frame the couples names – built up from silhouettes of Bushveld trees, plants, flowers and smaller birds and smaller African animals. We steered away from the typical “Big 5” animals; we wanted to show the beauty in the small details of the African wild.   We decorated the fireplace mantel piece with masses of indigenous flowers and twigs to create a textured backdrop for these lovely fireside posed shots.     We created a large rustic bridal bouquet from pin-cushions, fynbos brunia, succulents, flax and moss.   Beautiful bridesmaid dress – champagne satin with black botanical lace bodice detail. Single stem white king protea bud bouquet   We setup the ceremony next to a huge tree. A single long chiffon drape threaded through the branches formed a soft wedding arch. Silver paraffin lanterns lit up the... read more
CHEMISTRY WEDDING STYLING

CHEMISTRY WEDDING STYLING

The team at Ninirichi Style Studio has once again collaborated with amazing top industry vendors to bring to life this theme and concept led by Head Décor stylist, Jeanine Richards. “It’s Chemistry!” tells the story of two varsity sweethearts and their love of science. We encourage brides to tell a personal story as a couple on their big day — what their interests are and their shared passion that brought them together in the first place. This imaginative theme was inspired and styled with chemistry, physics, geometry, botany and educational heritage in mind. Every detail and element, from colour to form was carefully thought out to create the scene for this story.   Stationery designed by Charlotte from Ninirichi Style Studio. Metallic stock papers, floral references and inspiration drawn from the science theme and Periodic Table. Horizontal lines between characters suggest chemical bonds. A scientific-inspired monogram has been carried though all stationery. Saturated theme colours set against a stark white canvas with ombre hues and molecular-influenced font used on all stationery and printed elements.         The wedding ceremony area was set-up under the amazing glass marquee at Shepstone Gardens – this striking concept styling made a memorable statement. A customized printed ceremony backdrop/aisle runner featured the the bride and groom’s personalized designed monogram and the vows that were shared. Floral focal points include suspended orchid hoops, orchid isle markers in Erlenmeyer flasks and floral-moss pomanders suggestive of atomic orbits.     The post ceremony drinks area was setup with a striking deep-button padded bar and glowing  display units by Liquid Chefs. Theme related smoking cocktail recipes were developed... read more
MODERN URBAN WEDDING – THE BEST DAY EVER

MODERN URBAN WEDDING – THE BEST DAY EVER

This was one of those truly memorable weddings to style. Our amazing couple – Tanya and Streten were a delight to work with as they knew exactly what they wanted and had impecable modern taste and a relaxed fun-loving vibe about them. It was an honour to be appointed to style their wedding by Natalie from Tickled Pink Weddings and Events and to assist her bringing their vision to life. The wedding was hosted at Katy’s Palace Bar, Kramerville, Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. Katy’s is a rustic urban industrial space  that has so much character and atmosphere – yet is a fantastic neutral pallet to dress up and customize.   The styling started in the parking lot with customized “Best Day Ever” signage so guests knew they were in the right place.   Customized signage including the couples monogram. Simple floral displays at the entrance to the venue.           The stairs leading up to the venue were decorated with theme colour bunting, flowers in galvanized buckets and customized block mount prints.   At the top of the stairs you were greeted with a glass of bubbly served off our styled bubbly bar station.   Walking into the venue you find a hand-painted rustic “No Seating Plan” board – setting the tone for an informal relaxed celebration.   We custom-made a sweet “Honeymoon Fund” postbox for guests to pop their gift envelopes in.   iew of the whole event space just before guests were to arrive – bridal party , photographers, decor team, organizers doing last minute preparations. In this unconventional wedding format the ceremony was held in the... read more
BRITISH THEME WEDDING STYLING

BRITISH THEME WEDDING STYLING

Our British themed shoot was inspired by the  “Keep Calm ” social craze hitting the creative media in this season. With all the British invasion trends going on, we couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to interpret the theme in our own creative way — creating our very own stylish Ninirichi “Royal Affair”! Working with  saturated blues and fiery reds we created a bright, fun themed canvas of colour that visually popped. We kept the décor classic and elegant by utilizing cut crystal, candelabras and polished silver; but then funked it up with pops of bright theme colour  -brought in through floral, decor and graphic elements. The décor was the epitome of style and elegance; but resonated with a flair and excitement.   Our London Eye concept welcome drinks and snack display on a statement red lacquer vintage server. Ferris-wheel fish and chips display decorated with fan flowers, printed and die-cut details. Layered paper pinwheels with dye-cut  and monogram details.   Fish and chips served in vintage newsprint cones – decorated with punched monogram detail. Cranberry and Blueberry ice tea with red and blue striped straws with printed and punched toppers.   A romantic royal tablescape set outdoors in a natural environment. The blue and red colours pop against the shades of greens fin the garden. White modern-classic  candelabra dressed with crystal pendants and ghost Tiffany chairs really compliment the theme and styling.   King and queen high-back chairs for the bride and groom – decorated with themed accent cushions.   Silver embossed luxury satin jaquard tablecloth. Lacquer under-plates with complimentary designed menu card placed on the white porcelain side-plate.   Cut crystal glasses decorated... read more
BOHO WEDDING

BOHO WEDDING

“The idea for the bohemian styled wedding shoot came from a desire to introduce a fresh new approach to wedding design to the South African bridal market. Based on current international trends – wedding design is moving away from the over saturated and expected ‘classic-elegant’ traditional styling. Weddings should reflect the style and personality of the bridal couple. For a couple who are more relaxed, love nature, have an individualistic and eclectic sense of style – a boho wedding is the perfect solution”, explains Jeanine Richards, stylist and owner of Ninirichi Style Studio. Enjoy this visual feast of beautiful boho wedding inspiration – designed and styled by us at Ninirichi Style Studio, captured by Amy Wolland from As Sweet as Images and Coordinated by Natalie Elliot from Tickled Pink Events.   Beautiful wedding  stationery design  – order of service [left], invitation [right]   Outdoor wedding ceremony – rustic wooden chairs with cushions, soaring tree altar with fabric wrap and driftwood cross.       Rustic garden peg aisle markers with hanging willow lanterns, decorated with succulents, soft tulle and leather strips.     Bridal Party flowers: Coral pink aloe wrapped in hessian ribbon and decorated with wooden and turquoise stone beads.
